And another thing.....

I've been seeing references to Sports Illustrated's "Sportsman of the Year" fan poll and how everyone should cast a vote to honor Pat Tillman.

Quite Right.

Dean Esmay has an entry on this very subject, replete with explanations of the nuances of SI's polling site. It was from Dean's blog that I lifted the link to SI's site right here.

I just cast my vote for Tillman a few minutes after 11:00 PM; the current "Top Three" were Lance Armstrong, Michael Phelps, and Pat Tillman. Long time Congruence readers both know of my admiration for Lance Armstrong's accomplishments, and while Phelps' showing at the Olympics was stunningly impressive (he has sullied his rising star a bit with the recent DUI, but to his credit he came out and stood in front of the world and accepted responsibility for his actions and apologized), in the grand scheme of things Tillman is the clear choice here.
