Over Macho Grande?

so anyways, the Most Dreaded Season is almost over. I feel like I've been touched by his noodly appendage.
I shouldn't link so much, so I am told over at the other blog. Some wanker has taken me to task for excessive linking and not enough original content. Since I've mentioned it, here's my post and the Anonymous (Wanker) comment.
Now that's just weird
coincidence? you decide
so anyway, I've got the MP3 player pumping ELO's most excellent "Evil Woman" directly into my brain whilst I read this.
Weird, I tell you....

You know what else is weird? You have this blog that you can write anything you want for anyone to read, and most of the time all you do is link. That is pretty sad. I am begging you, write something out of your own head. But stop writing that hate-filled, substance-less crap that usually does come from your mind. I thank you.
Said wanker has obviously only read the front page, which is admittedly "link-heavy"; a closer inspection of the blog would have exposed plenty of original content. I have my suspicions that Anon is someone that I know in the real world, but that's just a hunch at this point.
I started to "fisk" the comment, but decided to "save as draft" 'cause it just wasn't worth the effort. Besides, the comment is pretty much self-fisking on it's own.
Perhaps Anonymous doesn't quite get the basic concept and nature of the "weBLOG". If I link something, it's because I found it interesting at the time, and taken with the body of work as a whole, the act of linking is the poor (or pressed for time) man's way of posting something that captures where his head is at that particular moment.
But that's not why I logged in tonight. This is.
Via someone on the blogroll come the link to Dave Barry's Year In Review. Also, there's this, which I first saw over at Kim duToit's place, and again tonight at Cold Fury.
Since I expect the inter-tubes-net-web-thingy to crash at the stroke of midnight, I'll sign off now.
Happy New Year.
