Time's fun.....

.....when you're having flies

I can assure you that I had no intention of lapsing so long in my posting. It really sucks being a growd up sometimes. I'll spare you the "I've been busy" crap. As my real life starts to resume a more normal pace, my posting will increase. The light is at the end of the tunnel, and this time it's not an oncoming train.

Hey, it's not like I'm Bill Whittle, going months at a time without a peep. But then again, I'm not churning out superb 20,000 word essays that light up the blogosphere every third month. Someday, maybe. I'll keep practicing.

It's not like I haven't been blogging; I've been posting semi-regularly at Supply Side Politics and occasionally at BlogSmogGarage. My Brother-in-Blog Greg and I celebrated our 1000th hit of the year this week at Supply Side Politics; so we're pretty pleased with our accelerating traffic on that site. And me other brother CoCoNut, has re-found his voice and is posting again at BlogSmogGarage.

Which brings me to something that I've wanted to post about for over a month now. I had started a rant over at SSP, but canned it because of the possible repercussions it could have for my Brother-in-Blog. So anyway, my Brother-in-Blog is working away one fine afternoon and just happened to have the radio in the shop tuned in to Rush Limbaugh. The BigBossMan asks him to turn the radio off; my B-in-B did so, and didn't think anything of it, as the BBM was on his cell phone when the request was made. BBM ends his call, and leaves the shop; B-in-B turns the radio back on. Ten minutes later, BBM storms back into the shop with an attitude: "I thought I told you to Turn.That.Off. !!!" Within an hour, a "policy" e-mail comes out: Thou shalt not listen to talk radio during working hours. Period. A couple of days later, SSP suddenly gets blocked from their internet access. Wankers.

Needless to say, my Brother-in-Blog was understandably miffed.

I tell the story not to demand social justice, although that would be nice. I just wanted to get the story off my chest and on the 'Net as a conversation piece. Does anyone out there have a similar story / situation? Please let me know. Thanks.
